In the Hawaiian language Aloha has numerous meanings but is used most commonly as a greeting, farewell or salutation. The tropical Hawaiian Islands were formed from volcanic activity, which contiues to this day. The coconut, synonymous with the tropics, was thought to have been first brought to the Hawaiian Islands from Oceania by early Polynesian sailors. Beautiful handmade lampwork glass beads in shades of apricot and lipstick red evoke the volcanic activity of the islands. Coconut rondelles represent the coconut palm and these, in combination with topaz coloured crystals, copper beads and handmade bark textured copper rings make for a stunning piece of jewellery.
