These elegant, lightweight earrings consist of a variety of different shaped pieces of hematite (haematite). They have great movement. The abundant mineral, hematite, consists of 70% iron and may contain small quantities of titanium. It comes in a variety of colours – black, grey to silver-grey, or brown to reddish brown, sometimes iridescent or banded grey and dark red. It is paramagnetic which means it is weakly attracted to magnetic fields. Hematite is said to have health benefits such as bringing inner peace, helping with blood pressure disorders, kidney problems, anaemia and is said to be effective in healing pain.
